The Algorand Foundation has revealed the details of its period 4 governance voting topics this week. As has become standard two proposals have been put forward for the community to have their say on. DeFi governors are defined by the Foundation in their proposal as, “DeFi players who, consistently with Governance rules, commit Algos for a Governance term.” The second proposal put forward will determine whether or not DEX Liquidity Providers that contribute ALGOs in pools can participate in governance. Voting on both proposals will open for governance participants on September 6 and will conclude on September 20. This period saw a sizable 32.9k governors stake a combined total of 3.8b ALGO.
